JEE Advanced and JEE Mains 2023: Everything You Need to Know
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most popular entrance exams in India for admission to undergraduate engineering programs. JEE is divided into two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is the first stage of the exam, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), while JEE Advanced is the second stage of the exam, which is conducted by one of the IITs.
JEE Main 2023
JEE Main 2023 is expected to be conducted in January and April by the NTA. The exam will be conducted in online mode and will consist of two papers: Paper 1 (for B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (for B.Arch/B.Planning). Paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions (30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and Paper 2 will have a total of 82 questions (Mathematics-30, Aptitude Test-50, and Drawing Test-2).
The JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in multiple sessions and the best of the scores obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be considered for the final ranking. The application process for JEE Main 2023 is expected to start in September 2022.
JEE Advanced 2023
JEE Advanced 2023 is expected to be conducted in May by one of the IITs. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates (including all categories) who qualify JEE Main 2023 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.
JEE Advanced 2023 will consist of two papers which will be conducted on the same day. Each paper will have three parts: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam will be conducted in online mode and will have a total of 54 questions (18 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in each paper.
